I took pictures of this darling family from my son's school. They were kind enough to purchase my photography skills at our school's silent auction. The evening we took these pictures was a perfect fall night to hike around Minnehaha Falls.

My friend, Andrea, has created a new line of holiday clothes for her Etsy shop itzi&bitzi. She sweetly named it the Anja collection in honor of one of her favorite little models! It was fun to take these outdoor photos, but it was definitely fall weather and Anja got cold!

I was honored to take photographs at the wedding of a former student. Kasie was actually in my class for all four of her years at South. We had a great time. Kasie and Jesse had an amazing fall day for their wedding. Please enjoy a few pictures from their very special day.

I really enjoyed taking pictures of my niece and her family at the Lake Harriet Rock Gardens. She is such a happy, sweet little girl. I'm so thankful for family!

Andrea of the itzi & bitzi boutique has been at work getting her summer line ready. It was fun to be able to take some photos of Anja outdoors when it wasn't AS cold. Johan was along for the afternoon, so I got a few cute pictures of him as well.

Eliza is ONE!

I had the opportunity to take pictures of little Eliza last week. It was so much fun to be able to take her one year pictures. As some of you may know, I taught her mom when I was a first year teacher at South High. We've stayed friends over the years and it is wonderful to see her embrace motherhood. Both parents are very creative and highly energetic. Thanks to all of them for a fun session!

Andrea is back to work on her spring collection. We headed to the Minneapolis Institute of Arts to take some pictures, but the best pictures were the ones we took outside. Anja was very brave despite the short-sleeves and snow flurries! Check out Andrea's shop!

Friends at the Walker

We bumped into some old friends at the Walker on Saturday (not old in the age sense, but we've known them for a long time!). Kip worked with Sarah at North High. They were on the same team of teachers and always enjoyed working together. It was great to see them and I was able to snap a few pictures of their adorable family.

I'm participating in a new Flickr group called Project 52 by MCP Actions. Each week, a new theme is posted and you can add your photo to the group. The theme this week was "Illustrate a song." I chose to do a self-portrait with the song "Raspberry Beret" by Prince. By the way, the photo must be taken during the week of the theme. Click here if you want more info on the project!

Dowling Silent Auction

I'm so excited for the Dowling Silent Auction, which is coming up on Friday, December 3. Kip and I have a babysitter all lined up, so it will be a fun date night. Live music, appetizers and friends are a few of the things I am looking forward to at this event. I've donated a photo shoot for the event as a way to contribute to the school. Pigtails and Haybales

Anja and I had a great time exploring the area near our cabin for haybales! We found a great hay wagon and took lots of photographs. Anja is looking so grown up with her pigtails. I'm thankful I had this time with Anja. She is such a happy girl who laughs a lot and is so fun to be around.

I had the pleasure of taking family pictures for my friend, Maren. Maren and I have been friends since my first year teaching when I had her in Geometry class. I also had the pleasure of working with her mom at South High. They are a great family and I had fun taking pictures, especially of Maren's sweet baby. We took pictures at the Minneapolis Institute of Arts, which was a first for me! I hope to take more photos there in the future.

I was able to take some wedding photos of my friend Chris and his wife Hanna this past weekend. Chris and Hanna were married in Sweden in July and came back to Minnesota for a reception. They are a wonderful couple and the love between them was fun to capture!

My sister and I took pictures of the W family in July. We had a great time getting to know them and their adorable kids. Their little girl was in Johan's preschool class this past year. ABOUT ME

I love photography and I am constantly trying to grow and learn new things to improve my photography. I take lots of pictures of my family, friends and other who express an interest in my work. I would love to grow my photography as a business in the future. In the meantime, I teach math online through Minneapolis Public Schools. In the summer, I will take a break from teaching and I hope to take a lot more pictures!
